Great pics!

I usually don't get envious of other peoples' bikes, but your Ebisu is driving me crazy.

It's exactly what I want to build for the type of riding I like most nowadays.

My Bilenky is nice, but it's built for loaded touring.

My Hollands comes closer to the Ebisu, but I can't stuff wide enough tires on it with fenders installed.

My Croll doesn't like to be ridden fast with a bag on the front.

Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and have one of the local builders whip something up for me.........

That's really saying something considering your outstanding fleet of outrageously cool bikes.

I don't remember though. Was the Ebisu ordered from Jitensha or did you find it locally?

How does the sizing run on the Ebisus? Finish work nice?

I just looked at their site; very nice. I don't have the need (or cash) for one of these now but if I ever want to go custom they seem like a contender for sure.

the finish is very nice, looks better in person. This was not a custom, its the All purpose 700c version and I purchased the frame, fork, and custom rack from original owner on fleabay. They make a 650b version as well. This one is a 60cm and fits like a glove.

Thanks!

I'll definitely give this some thought this winter.

First long ride on the Coppi I built up. It was my 50th Birthday. A nice slow ride by myself. It was lots of fun being able to take in the scenery and stop to look at cool things that caught my eye. For a low end Italian frame the bike rides real nice.

Nice pics, SW, and happy b'day . That pic with the RR track parallel to the trail sure looks inviting. An easy 50 miles sure sounds nice.

Of course nb's pics always show such nice scenery even if work does get in the way. How about a nice easy 50 miles?

We took the tandem out for 30.9 miles today, possibly our last ride this fall. The bike needs some serious maintenance and I have so little time. (A nice easy 50 miles would be welcome.)

On a cool, wet morning the MinuteMan Bikeway was nearly deserted.

The western end of the MM in Bedford.

That looks like a generic passenger car but in fact it is a self-propelled Diesel. A poster in Depot Park, Bedford.

Another interesting RR line with a narrow 2ft gauge ran from here to Billerica. Another poster in Depot Park. If you turn around 180 degrees when reading this poster you see that building across the intersection, now the site of The Bikeway Source, a bike shop!

Of course there is always a price to pay when a popular route like the MM is empty. From riding on a wet surface covered with leaves and pine needles.

Just got back from a nice leisurely 35.05 mile ride @ 15 mph (avg) speed, and hit my driveway at the 2hr 20min mark.

Edit: Look close at my old Fuji... It was balancing very carefully on its left pedal against the concrete curb!

Happy 50th SW. And nice fall pictures from everyone.

A mixed bag of riding totaling 72 miles today. First 15 miles was indoors (which I usually count as 15mph) at the local Y. Then took the Roberts out for a 45 mile spin (not a too hilly route). Then I decided to really make myself sleep well tonight by taking the fat bike over to the local trails for another 12 miles.

The photo with the green leaves is from a few short weeks ago. But it was taken along the climb up the Brown's Creek trail from Stillwater, which was my far point for the middle ride.

I did an early morning ride that took me along the Illinois river shortly after sunrise...

and then the ride went up the wooded bluffs along the river, and back home via the corn and soybean fields.

I finally got in a few decent hours on the bike today. Nice crunchy fall day

I ran into RogerM along the way. We were headed in opposite directions so the meeting was brief so he could stay with his group..

BAAAH HUMBUG!

Bike Ride Profile | Afternoon Ride near Hopkinton | Times and Records | Strava (I can't figure out how to put the 'map' in this post, there must be a way...)

The day started out wet, and something caused me to play some vinyl - Mario Lanza sings Caruso , while I ate breakfast . I did a bunch of household chores while waiting for the roads to dry up some. Finally started out sometime after 2PM for a planned 2+ hour ride. Yesterday was a hard day, 4 10-minute 'all I got, pretty much' intervals, despite that I was feeling good. Then, 'ping' ,whine, whine, whine, whine. OMG! I broke a spoke. I've never broken a spoke, but there it was, wiggle waggling about. Had to call for the ride of shame.

Got home, got to thinking, pulled out a file: 25 October was my Father's birthday, and he loved Mario Lanza...

(At least I contributed to the photo record, this time.)

Hope that's your crash quota for a long time!

I only went for a quick spin around town to try out the vintage fall clothing I got at a garage sale this summer. Bonus cat appearance.

I absolutely love the photos here.

Today was full of family stuff with not much time. I did get my saddle adjusted and rode around the neighborhood to find that my Sirius has a whole new life to it that I had not found until today. Oh happy day!
