Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Of course he could do it, if he wants to is another thing... it's just something he did on his lunch breaks.

I can ask him though if you really want it done.. but I'm sure you could get it done locally

Can you (or anyone else here) please explain to me how an Optimo Track differs from a Capo?

There's no geometry difference, the whole run from '03 to '10 was the same "CAAD5 Track" according to the catalogs. I've owned 4 over the years and my '04 and '10 60cm frames weigh about the same (~1450g). I think Cannondale just dropped the "Optimo" moniker for marketing reasons. The major differences came in the last couple of years when Cdale started shipping them with craptacular aluminum forks and only one water bottle mount .

Love the stripped raw look. Aircraft remover or did you get it media blasted?

Sounds like you know better than I do.
This one came with a alloy/carbon fork stock that I swapped out for the full carbon. This saved almost a pound in itself.
It had a brushed aluminum finish from the factory, but I did strip off the clear coat and decals, wet sanded to 1000grit. I'd like to have a few more passes with higher grit before I apply the decals and clear coat.
