There's no geometry difference, the whole run from '03 to '10 was the same "CAAD5 Track" according to the catalogs. I've owned 4 over the years and my '04 and '10 60cm frames weigh about the same (~1450g). I think Cannondale just dropped the "Optimo" moniker for marketing reasons. The major differences came in the last couple of years when Cdale started shipping them with craptacular aluminum forks and only one water bottle mount .

This one came with a alloy/carbon fork stock that I swapped out for the full carbon. This saved almost a pound in itself.
It had a brushed aluminum finish from the factory, but I did strip off the clear coat and decals, wet sanded to 1000grit. I'd like to have a few more passes with higher grit before I apply the decals and clear coat.
