Daccordi - 58cm + Some Components...

I got a bit lucky today when I bought this 58cm Daccordi fframe and fork set. Needs paint and some of the chrome is shot, also requiring paint or re-chroming. Included with the set is a Campy head set (no balls), Campy crank and bottom bracket and a set of brake calipers (missing the adjusters). My plan is to offer it cheap on the For Sale forum as the set it too big for me and I have no use for the included components. What value would you put on this SLX Italian assembly..?

No way I'd pay $300. Also, those paint cracks just behind the top headtube lug are suspect.

Good eye on the paint cracks around the lugs - would be a deal breaker for me.

Good call on the top tube cracks. I just went out and took a better picture and for me, it is a deal breaker. Have a better look...

Those scratches look superficial to me. The old topcoat is beginning to peel and crack in places due to age and exposure to the elements, especially the sun. The headtube area of a frame does flex and that will exasperate the paint cracking. The brazing around the lug does not appear to be coming apart.

As for value, I'd say $300 to $350 USD with the headset and seatpin.

In truth, I also did not think that the frame had been crashed or bent. Silly me did not check it over carefully before asking for an appraisal. But, being too big for me, I never intended to keep it. I did want the fork until I saw that it was pantographed (would have worked on another project that I had in mind but not now, considering the panto on the crown.

So, if I offered the frame, fork and components mentioned for $100.00 plus shipping, in the for sale forum, do you think that I might get a buyer? I intend to keep the C-Record crank for myself but the other one is included (Campy bottom bracket, Campy head set with no balls, Campy brake calipers without adjuster, Campy Chorus crank set).

I don't think you'll have too much problem selling that frameset. If it was in my size, I would have already contacted you!

Even with the minor frame damage and paint I would think it should be a pretty easy sale at $100 plus shipping from Canada to the US which would put it in the $200 range total all in which is still a good price with the components.
