Disco ... no mas
So rumors that they have found a sponsor for next year have been dispelled ... they are closing up shop.

Might be good for the team to take a few years off. They have been a prime target for the past decade and it might be better to let the drug controversies sort themselves out/calm down in the meantime. Then again it might be a setup to get the cash they need to run a full team, support personnel, wind tunnel testing, and schedule. There aren't that many sponsors willing to cough up 14-16+ million dollars a year to be a primary sponsor and wants or has worldwide, in particular Europe, presence for their products and/or services. The TdF plays almost 24/7 on TV and it's good saturation advertising for a sponsor.
Wouldn't be surprised if VS cuts back it's cycling coverage to just the TdF, unless some U.S. sponsored team or U.S. riders is prominant enough to attract viewers and has a chance to win or place high.

Hooters needs to sponsor a team. In women's cycling. Who cares if they'd be 90 minutes behind the pack. They deserve all the camera time.

re: Hooters
If they wear the shorts...I bet they'd be in front.

One woman's road rash is another's carpal tunnel syndrome...in fact, it's this woman's carpal tunnel syndrome.
