Tile's Tracker to Find Stolen Bike

Does anyone use the tile's tracker? Seems like a good way to find a stolen bike.
What are the downsides and/or alternatives?

Don't know about finding a bike, but I got some of the Tiles for my wife about 3 years ago. I haven't had to help find her keys since!
Finding a bike will depend on population density and how many people in the area have Tiles. It definitely wouldn't hurt having one on the bike though. I've thought of hiding one under the saddle. Just need to set a reminder to replace it every year.

Hmmm. I was gonna say that, if you lose your wife frequently, are Tile Trackers gonna help?

I think they make something specifically for attaching the tile under the seat.

Don't you have to be within 30 m or something for tile to work?

Seems kinda useless if your bike gets stolen.

I just heard the tile's range is 30 - 100 feet. Doesn't seem very practical, If I'm that close I will probably be able to see it.

Also just learned .....
When you’re running the Tile app on your device, your appisn’t just looking for your Tiles, it’s looking for everyone’s! When you passwithin range of a Tile, your app will automatically update the location of thatTile on whichever account it’s registered to. Anyone with aTile app that will come in range of your Tile will be able to update yourTile's location.

Best case scenario ..... the person who stole your bike is running the tile app
