Please help me date my Bianchi Campione d'Italia

Hi C&Vers,

I'm about to order parts to build up my Bianchi, and I'm hoping you can help me identify the year of my frame.

Details:
Bianchi Campione D'Italia in celeste with grey / silver lettering and "Made in Italy" decal around an ovalized downtube
Tubing is Dedacciai SuperSet 2 with a few stickers noting it's a "Bianchi Exclusive Cro-Mo".
Bottom Bracket appears to be Italian

I have a few basic questions. I can take more pics if necessary of course.

Can anyone identify the year?

Is the bottom bracket definitely Italian and the seat tube definitely 28.6? I measured both but it can't hurt to ask the experts!

Can anyone shed some light on the tubing? I know it's not the highest end steel ever made, but I didn't pay very much for it and I've always wanted to build up a celeste Bianchi.

Thanks in advance!

Have a look through How Old Is My Bicycle? Apply the information contained in Component Numbers and you should come very close to determining your bicycle's vintage.

That WE on the back side of this Suntour front derailleur is not another term for Us. W indicates the year and E the month of manufacture...

I agree '95 /96 sounds about right.
