Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Our local schools are giving out food to families already. Families that don't have breakfast and lunch for their kids in the budget and rely on the schools to feed them. Schools will likely be out for the year and those parents might not have a job. Shelter in place until the summer might work for you and your food supply, but not for them.

I was referring to the food supply in general, not poverty in particular. Our county and school district also has programs to get food to people who need it.
I'm not rich, I live on social security and more than half of that is taken by rent and utilities.

I think the vast majority of the panic buying (so far, at least) is just that, panic. If people run out of money on a large scale that would be a different set of circumstances than what we have now.

We had a small group of 8 riders, we separated into 2 groups and kept decent social distance within the 2 groups.

I expect there will be further restrictions soon like Heathpack mentioned for LA. In that case I will be doing solo and/or Zwift rides for awhile.

I've got to say, I know it's a meme account but all of their posts showing separated Shimano cranks are pretty scary.

Kind of makes me glad that all of the cranks on all of my bikes are forged or at least one piece. I don't know if the Sun XCD cranks on my Trek are machined or forged.

There's a reason I banned Shimano cranks from the house. It's all Quarq except the SiSL on AG's SystemSix,

Just bumped my 401k contribution rate. Might as well pile it in while things are devalued. Worked last time around.

The bread guy didn’t show up at the Farmers market today.

No worries, I’ll just bake some bread, we’re out.

Ok look at that, I’m low on yeast. Better order some more.

Things you cannot buy right now through King Arthur Flour Company nor through Amazon: flour or yeast!

Principal of my kid's school sent out a cool graphic about focusing on what you can control. My wife is doing a high intensity workout on the Peloton.

The state government here is behind the curve. It's not going to be out front with any restrictions.

What's "FO"?

The panic buying is silly. CO has sold a lot of TP, guns, and freezers.

Home exercise equipment sales had to have spiked. I'm tempted to dust off the rollers. It would be fun to use this time to get good at them.
