I wanted to get the Garmin bank for my 1030 but the issue I had one if you put the pack under the head unit on the mount I then can't mount my Garmin light on the same mount. I like everything on one mount and not cluttered up. Unless I missed something and can do this.
Its better to get a power bank and its way cheaper too so I have not gotten the official garmin one yet.

On my 1030 I’m normally displaying the main data screen which is always on. I’m getting 5-7% battery life when not navigating, so 14-20 hrs and not sure why it varies. Nav uses a bit more battery and it’s been around 15 hrs as I’m looking at the map more often

Loving some of the cheap solutions above. For those who power their Garmins using inexpensive power banks, what do you do when it rains?
I've often wondered if water could wick into the internals of a Garmin with a USB charger attached. I know the official Garmin USB connector for the battery pack has water proof seals on it.

I never had any issues with water intrusion. I may have disconnected it in the rain once, but now I don't.
