You know the drill ... tell us all about your cycling this weekend. I think it is a long one for a number of us.

Saturday - Rode Zwift. First attempt, my RPMs kept dropping to 0 and I couldn't get up any speed on the screen despite riding hard. Also the other cyclists and I were riding all over the place like we were all drunk. Stopped after a frustrating 20 minutes and started again. All good! Speeds normal, other cyclists normal.

Chilly 25 mile Saturday small group ride, towards the end we explored some new smooth asphalt from road construction adjacent to our usual route. I'm the guy with the old Trek.

Beautiful cool sunny ride to the harbor on my Super Mondia . This bike has nice wide tires and the ride was comfy . About 25 miles, not my usual but very nice. Joe. joesvintageroadbikes.wordpress

Group ride that turned out to be very windy- crosswind where the bike is substantially leaned over
and some nervous descents.
Swan song for this tire that never had a flat.

58 miles and some of the worst wind I’ve ridden in. Did Hecker Pass from the coast over to Gilroy. About 1500 feet in about 3 miles. Almost no shoulder so not a great bike route. Had to be careful on the descent because the wind was blowing debris all over the road. A few miles from home a plastic bag came whipping across the road and ended up in my rear derailleur, cassette, and jockey wheels. Took 10 minutes to get it cleaned out. On the plus side it was sunny.

Just a couple of rides this week, mostly on the indoor trainer due to a pesky respiratory thing.
Friday: 23 miles, usual roller coaster route, about 1,100 ft elevation gain.
Sunday: 28 miles, variation of that same route, about 1,350 ft elevation gain. Felt sluggish but Strava says I set some of my faster times on a 4.5 mile roller incline segment. Sure didn't feel fast with a whipping quartering crosswind.
Legs kinda dead and knees aching a bit, between weather and probably too many indoor trainer sessions. I'll probably take a couple of days off and hit it again Wednesday.

I've been sick the past couple of weekends. To make myself feel better I bought a used Lynskey bike. I spent this past weekend cleaning, lubing, adjusting and putting on accessories. I hope to get out this week for a shake down cruise. This is my first TI and probably the lightest bike I've owned.

Two Zwift rides due to unfavorable weather. Saturday was supposed to be twice as long with more power, but I was wiped from not getting enough sleep. Sunday's Z2 ride would have been longer, but my new tires are WAY loud on my rollers and I couldn't handle it after 3 hours. I'll swap back to my GP5K's for my ear's sake.
