Safe ways to flip of cagers in secret? All this must be down with out them seeing you.
This is good for a stress release! (THIS IS JUST FOR FUN SO IF YOUR MAD LET IT OUT HERE! and not on the road.)
Please no profanity.
Do you have any.
1. Pretend to adjust your helmet with said finger.
2. Scratch your eyeball with said finger.
3. Pick at the back of your shorts.( Only do this when they are in front or in back?)
This is just for a stress release.

If they aren't going to see it I don't really see it as a stress release.
Just my opinion.
I usually keep my cool 'cause you never know what could happen. For instance a car cut out in front of another car and the other driver shot the group in the car to death. This happened pretty recently where I live, and I wouldn't really call this town "dangerous." You just never know who you are dealing with, and the person has already proved they are an ******* and inconsiderate by doing something to piss you off such as honking or yelling at you.
Can't say I always keep my cool though, everyone has bad days and limits.
Just my opinion.

Kicking in their taillight with my cleat?
Just kidding, but I don't understand the purpose of secretly flipping someone off. As I see it the point of the middle finger is to communicate a message, albeit a short one, to the intended recipient. When no one sees it, I don't see the purpose, unless the physical act of making the hand gesture is somehow helpful.

I was thinking of making a crying gesture whenever a driver gets all distraught at my comparatively slow speed. I could see some drivers getting their panties in a bunch over that kinda gesture, tho... but at that point, they probably deserve it >

Sorry Johnny no anger to vent at drivers today. All my anger is directed at Supergo and my broken Seatpost.
Not to be all sunshiney, but I find the attitude that I hit the road with is usually a good indication of the kind of drivers I encounter. When I'm all aggro and uptight it seems like the drivers are jerks. Yet when, I'm mellow and assertive most drivers are pretty cool.
I don't understand the secret flipping off. I say if your going to do it, then do it for the world to see. I don't see any reason to hide it from the driver, they know why you're doing it. I find it better to be more specific in my cursing of drivers and letting them know exactly what they are doing wrong. Nothing gets under someone's skin more than when you tell them that they are a bad driver and need to pay better attention to what they doing. No cursing, no yelling, just obseqious politeness. Then if they get all bent, they look like the a-hole and not you. Sometimes though it's just a simple misunderstanding and your sitting their cursing a blue streak at a little white-haired grandmother, not cool.

Simple cagers think they own the road and its a good way to avoid confrontations on the road. When they don't see it. just a good way of blowing off steam while riding. Plus you can vent here afterwards.

Why do you people give power to less important people? If they were inportant they would be riding a bike not driving a cage. By getting mad you give them all the power. If you learn to control your emotions, they have to power to control you. Don't get mad, just enjoy your ride.

I've always liked the 'crush your head' technique from The Kids in the Hall for secret release. But the finger goes right in their face.

well, sometimes i've ridden with my middle fingers over the brake levers (v-brakes)... not directed at anyone in particular, just because it felt good and it's pretty ambiguous, so drivers can take offense if they feel guilty about something, or not. i don't care.
i rarely get angry in traffic anyway, too occupied with riding and staying out of harms way.

I was making a beer run this morning, came to a stop sign, saw a car coming, and stopped, initiating my modified track stand technique. The car driver does not continue buts stops. I'm concentrating on not falling over, and when I take a glance ro see WTF is going on, I see some movement thru the shaded window, she was waving at me to go. I find this overly courteous driver almost as annoying as the dickheads, they throw the traffic flow off, and she could have caused an accident. I didn't flip her off though.
Oh, and for some safe(?) flipping off suggestions, flip 'em off in foreign languages, like the "up yer bum" British "V" (index and middle finger), or the latin american/mediterranean "horns" (index and pinky). Pretty satisfying, of course there could be problems if the recipient of said gesture is from the gesture's country of origin. I will accept no responsibility for resultant black eyes or other bodily harm received from use of the above gestures.

so when I drive my car I am not longer important, but when I'm on my bike my importance goes back up?
no I don't think so, but I do think blanket statements make you look ignorant.
