Slicks in the snow!

I took my road bike out for my commute this week, as it had been dry for a few days, but we got a few inches of snow last night, so I got to do the ride home on 28mm slick tires... it was so nice on the MUP, the thin tire cut through right to dry pavement and I was flying... the roads were dangerous though, the compacted snow proved to be too much for the narrow tires... luckily afternoon shift affords me the luxury of fishtailing all over the main streets for fun.

Next time there is fresh snow on top of a clean pavement, I'm heading out for some fun!

Narrow tires can work pretty well in the snow compared to wide ones... under the right conditions.

yeah, fresh unpacked snow and clean pavement beneath... I don't think I'll be so lucky on today's trek to work.. the trail might have been cleared already though... one can hope!

I've ridden my 700X25 slicks on 1 to 2 inches of fresh snow,
on the bike path. There's not much to hit in case of a crash.
