Here's another shopgoodwill.com deal, this time for someone around San Jose. If it was bigger, I'd grab it myself.

For those wanting a Basso...
A few from Ebay...the titanium on is languishing at $850 near me.
Nice frame for restore...but NOT a touring bike.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/254769976127
Taller one in Serbia (great seller, by the way). 61 cm Not sure about the fork.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/116073469565
If you are near Solana Beach, CA...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/295719615263
And the pretty unusual LA Olympics Gap.

The complete build is below (I think its an early 80s, italian-built, second tier Bianchi)
Specifics about the frame:;
- Looks like a repaint, since there are no decals and the paint is in way better condition than I would Imagine it would be for a 40 year old bike.
- Aforementioned capital "B" with a circle around it on the seat stays and a Block capital B on the fork crown
- Braze on shifter mount studs on downtube
- Fork ends labelled "Gipiemme" and drop outs labelled "Bianchi"
- Derailleur cables routed above bottom bracket with integral cable guides.
- Seat lug stamped 2N on drive side and 1557 on non-drive side
- 27.2 mm seat post
- no front derailleur braze on, 28.6 mm clamp.
- one set of water bottle braze on's on the downtube, none on the seat tube.
- no chrome visible on stays or fork
- rear brake cable guides (3) brazed to top of top tube.
- No decals or head badge.
I will list the components, but I don't think they will mean much because I think this was a repaint where the frame was totally stripped:
- Crankset: Suntour Sprint 7500 (53 x 42), BB: ???
- Front derailleur: Shimano DuraAce (EA-100)
- Rear derailleur: Suntour Cyclone Mk II (3500)
- shift levers: Suntour (Cyclone?)
- Freewheel: Suntour 6 speed
- Front and rear brakes: Shimano 600 (6200)
- brake levers: Shimano 600 Ultegra (6400)
- hub/rim: Suntour Cyclone / Wolber TX profil 700c black anodized
- Headset: Shimano 600 (6400)
- stem/bars: SR
- seatpost: SR Laprade
- Seat: White Avocet racing
Definitely worth the 50 bucks. Fun to consider what I will do with it.

what color was it originally (assuming you can find some remnants on the fork or inside the tubing)?
I swear my neighbor had a Bianchi frameset he was going to build up for his daughter that was this color and he was sure it was OEM paint. But she never had a (big enough) growth spurt AFAIK so that plan never was realized.

I saw this bike about 3 hours after it went up on MPLS craigslist and contacted the seller immediately. Turned out to be a student that worked in a bike shop, and this thing was just kind of hanging around the back room of the bike shop for a while and no one wanted it. So he took it home and eventually sold it. It looks like its just an assembly of good 80s Japanese parts (minus the wheels) that were hanging around the shop with a freshly painted frame. He couldn't really give me any more information, and I was just happy to grab it. rode it the other day just around the block, its a pretty nice $50 ride!

dchmiele1992 I'm pretty sure it's a repaint unless it's Canadian. The frame certainly looks like '83-'85ish but they didn't come in those colors (unless it's Canadian maybe I don't have a catalog for them). Very likely a TreTubi COlumbus with Falck stays/fork. The kit sounds really topsy turvey but fee free poke around the catalogs on facistbook page and see if anything matches something like a Nuovo Racing or Alloro.

Thanks BianchiGirll,
I have decided from looking at catalogs, that it is probably a 1983 Nuovo Racing. The serial number on the seat lug suggests a 1982 build, but the fork crown mark doesnt seem to match the 1982's (but does match the 83s). The cable routing over the top of the bottom bracket is consistent with Nuovo Racing and the lack of chrome on the fork crown (assuming is wasnt painted over) seems to rule out Campione D'Italia and Campione Del Mondo. And Nuovo Racing came in White and Celeste, which matches the little bit of white I have seen under the few scratches on the frame. So I think I am going with 1983 Nuovo Racing. Still seems like a good buy for $50. Thanks again.

Rivendell Bicycle Frame set from the mid 1990's
This was Built by Waterford for Rivendell around 1996
Frame made is from 753 other than these - The beautiful fork is 531 and is built using Richard Sachs designed lugs
60cm x 60cm center to center
This is set up for All around Road riding, touring, and commuting, all ready to receive fenders and racks, Its a mid 90s frame so its not going to take 45 tires
Rear Spacing is 130 so you can 8-12 speed this
Brake bridge is 57mm inside measurement ad the fork is 40mm width inside so that gives an idea of tire size
This has brazeons from and rear and brazeons for rear fender and rack
Head tube is extended by 2cm above the top tube and the fork steerer is extra long
Its in excellent physical condition with no dents, The paint is beautiful but it has a few spots, marks and paint chips, most notable is the non-drive side where the front derailleur was clamped. It looks like it rubbed the paint off, it was touched up and then a piece of electrical tape was put over it. I pulled that off to show what it looks like
I do not have the capabilities of doing geometry workups, if it doesnt sell perhaps I will get the time eventually but we are a 2 person operation already at capacity and listing a ton of frames and new parts almost daily. So I get them listed and hung up. If there is anything I can answer I will but there is a lot I wont be able to and pulling frames for weights or certain questions will not be able to happen. Apologies in advance. We understand that this may mean you will not buy the frame. Thats just where we are at atm.
You can enlarge the photos by dragging onto your desktop and really look it over.
Will be shipped, probably bike flights, fork removed from the frame. IF YOU HAVE A SHIPPING ISSUES WITH YOUR LOCATION, PLEASE QUESTION AHEAD OF TIME. IF YOU BUY IT AND THEN START ASKING FOR THINGS AND HAVING ISSUES, WE WILL CANCEL THE SALE. THIS IS PARTLY DUE TO SCAMS, ASKING FOR COURIERS OR ALTERNATIVE ADDRESSES AND THE REASON WE HAVE NOT SOLD FRAMES AND BIKES ON EBAY FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS. WE NOW WOULD LIKE TO SELL A FEW.
This must be shipped to the address on your account and will have to be signed for.

The small flaws I can see are the paint missing from the down tube near the BB from the cable guide that was clamped there, the drive side chainstay above the brake bridge has a tiny ding, We cant even pick it up with the camera, its not adent and definintly not structural, something at some point pressed into it very lightly, not even as big as fraction of my pinky nail. on the inside of the fork tube, there is s spot near the hole for brazing gas to escape, there is a little paint starting to burble there, I would assume from moisture, and a scratch on the other fork tube.
The flaws are extremely minor and the finish is very vivid, almost multi-dimensionally, liquidy. Its a hard one to describe but, the paint is very excellnt quality.

Rivendell Bicycle Frame set from the mid 1990's 96ish
This was Built by Waterford for Rivendell around 96'
Its very Rare to fins a big Frame made from 753 - The beautiful fork is 531 Using Richard Sachs designed Lugs
60cm x 60cm center to center
This is set up for touring or commuting, all ready to receive fenders and racks, Its a 90s frame so its not going to take 45 tires
Rear Spacing is 130 so you can 8-12 speed this
Brake bridge is 57mm inside measurement ad the fork is 40mm width inside so that gives an idea of tire size
This has brazeons from and rear and brazeons for rear fender and rack
Head tube is extended by 2cm above the top tube and the fork steerer is extra long
The small flaws I can see are the paint missing from the down tube near the BB from the cable guide that was clamped there, the drive side chainstay above the brake bridge has a tiny ding, We cant even pick it up with the camera, its not adent and definintly not structural, something at some point pressed into it very lightly, not even as big as fraction of my pinky nail. on the inside of the fork tube, there is s spot near the hole for brazing gas to escape, there is a little paint starting to burble there, I would assume from moisture, and a scratch on the other fork tube.
The flaws are extremely minor and the finish is very vivid, almost multi-dimensionally, liquidy. Its a hard one to describe but, the paint is very excellnt quality.

LOL! What I want to know was what did the red thing do? did it make the ride super comfortable in the rear? The spokes don't connect directly to the hub, and stead look as if they are wedged into the red disk, very unusual design, just try to find spoke replacements for it! Just wonder what it was suppose to do?
