Lightweight cloth messenger style shopping bag?

Anyone make a lightweight (roll up and put in a pocket) cloth bag for light grocery shopping with a messenger style strap for riding? No top necessary, just an open tote bag type of thing, but one you can sling over your shoulder like a messenger bag, but lighter.

my only concern about a cloth bag like that is the lack of waterproofing -- for both the occasional rainstorm, but also for sweat in the summer.

Don't know if it's a Mussette bag. Basiclly I've got a few cotton/nylon blend tote bag type of things that I used instead of paper or plastic bags for grocery shopping/farmers market. They have hand straps for carrying. It would be cool if they were more horizontally oriented and had a single shoulder strap.

If that's a musette bag then yes. But I don't want some old super heavy canvas thing. Just some lightweigt foldable bag that you see everywhere but for biking with.

Waterproof things tend to make you sweat. This is an open, non waterproof type of thing. Super low tech.

Here's a duffel bag:
https://www.ebags.com/roots/folding_d...LAID=108274837

You could put a shoulder strap on it and wear it like you describe. And here's a backpack:
https://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2268597

Some creative Googling might find what you're looking for. I've seen tote/shopping bags that fold up into little cigarrette pack-sized packages, and waist packs that expand into daypacks.

So if you have tote bags just sew on a shoulder strap. It's really not that hard and I think that's what you're looking for.

it's actually not that hard to craft together your own bag.

all you need is some fabric, whatever material cotton/nylon/whatever
sewing skills
and time...it shouldn't take more than a day to complete.

If you're serious, then share more information and possibly some pictures. There may be enough interest here that she might make some $$ and a few teeth.

None of those links from the last two posters are close to what he wants, as I understand it. I'm thinking he wants basically a foldable sack like this:

With a shoulder strap and no top.

^ Now THAT'S a man purse!

(Just kidding, well, sort of.. I have a couple hemp bag things for groceries. Would suck to bike with, but they're basically purses)

Whenever I see people with those things I wonder how much it's gotta hurt to have the strings dig into your shoulders. Not gonna carry any real weight in that thing.
