What's up with Quintana Roo?

Did they go under? Their web site claims they are in "transition." Anyone know what this means?

Being that the season is over they are probably updating with their 2009 product line...

QRoo is updating there website for their 2009 products and prices. They are probably stuggling but in no actual trouble. The Seduza is now going to cost $1999 and I think that will make it a great seller.

Thanks for the replies. Someone should teach their IT guys how to keep a website up while it's being updated.

Seduza for $2k looks sweet. Just wish their frames weren't so 'busy.' I get anxiety looking at them.

The 09 seduza is a good looking bike in my opinion. Check it out as well as their new cd.1...

I like the logo-ing better than on the '08, which was really my only gripe.

I don't know why QR limits itself to tri-bikes and wetsuits. They should come out with tri running shoes, tri biking shoes, tri suits and a whole host of other triathlon related products. I'd buy em! One of the reasons I think they may struggle in this industry is because they're competing against large bike companies who don't need the same margins on tri bikes to stay afloat. I don't think QR would be wise to get into other types of bikes (I think they've already failed at that), but I don't see why the don't widen themselves within the triathlon industry. They have the premier triathlon brand. I don't see how they could miss with any tri related product they came out with.

I hope QR makes a comeback.

I have no idea what this may be indicative of, but my LBS is dropping Cervelo next year. They're sticking with Specialized and Cannondale and I think one other brand. They like Cervelo bikes, but say the customer service is terrible. Interesting.

I really think QR can keep up with the competition but they really need to reach out to the consumer with the release of the cd.1. The reason I say this is that when I want to get a new bike I go to online retailers and see side shots, to which the cd.1 looks very normal but apparently they offset the downtube to improve driveside aerodynamics. So they need to make sure the aerodynamic advantages are clear and perceptible.

Not to mention the Seduza is a category killer at $2000. The only threat is the B16, but it is a big threat.

I was looking at a Seduza this afternoon and am seriously considering it. It's going to come down to what it feels like to ride. Well I rode it and liked it a lot, it comes home tomorrow.

So far I like it but I haven't ridden very far yet but am planning to take it out on one of my favorite routes down the beach on Sunday. I have ridden this route literally hundreds of times so it will be a good shake down ride, stay tuned for a full report.

I took the Roo out for a 20 mile ride today and all I can say is WOW that is one fast bike compared to what I have been riding for the last 8 years. My average speed was up over 2 mph and I am not in as in shape as I know I could be. By the time the St. Anthony's Triathlon rolls around in April 09 I should be read to rock.

Where's a moderator when you need one? I don't see any pics, that has to be an infraction of some sort.

What was I thinking, I hope this makes up for my lack of judgment.
