Performance TravelTrac Rollers - Anyone with experience?
Hey guys,
I couldn't find any info on these rollers on the forum and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these rollers or if they'd suggest something else. Saw them in the Performance shop today.

They're $120 right now and they seem pretty decent for the price. My budget is kind of thin thanks to grad school. Anyone tried these?

I have Travel Trac Technique Pro Alloy that I bought from Performance. This will be my 2nd summer I've had them, I think, and they've worked well for me. I know I didn't pay over $100, though.

I got those rollers for under $100 on sale also. They seem to work fine for me and I bought the floor display model. I had the rollers since this past Oct., no problems yet.

They're fine - I enjoy mine. Luckily, it's almost never winter in Los Angeles, so they don't get a lot of use from me.

I've done most of my winter training on them and I seriously abuse them--leave them in the rain, outside, and they are good. I think I paid $90ish for them.

I've had a set for a few years and ride them mostly in the winter. No problems to report. I think I picked them up on sale for about $90. This winter I added a resistance unit so I wouldn't have to spin like a mad man to get an even better workout.

Thanks for the input guys. Where did everyone find them for ~$100? And as far as shipping goes...I'm only about 20 minutes from Santa Monica so I can head down to the shop and pick them up.
The only reason I'm hesitant to get rollers is that I live in the LA area and it's sunny here most of the time, so I should just go outside and ride. However, I've got classes all day long most of the time so I figure it's safer than riding on the PCH in the darker hours...

I think they are great and fold up nicely for storage. However, if you are ever going to consider doing the roller modification posted in the forums that turns regular rollers into something similar to the insideride emotion rollers, then get the Nashbar non-folding rollers as they have flat, as opposed to tubular, legs that can be drilled through as needed.

Only regret is that the rollers are to big and don't offer enough resistance even in 53-12. I sholud have gotten a smaller diameter roller.
