they came stock on this Mongoose Dolemite my girls bought me for my 50th Birthday a year ago. The bike definitely needed some upgrades to be usable, (trigger shifter, upgraded derailleur, aluminum handlebars/seat post) and, while a far cry from what I would have bought for myself, still puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. For a “sometimes” bike, I really enjoy it.

I know no words but ask to be excused for a few or it doesn't make sense.

Pitt Addington marsh. A 17km route along dike trails and gravel roads, some seldom used. Like a safari by fat bike in the Serengeti (I imagine, haven't been there).

Ok.. enough talk:

never rode a fat bike. It looks hard. Is it that different from a regular bike?

It's the same as a normal bike as far as riding is concerned but the effort level is higher. But then again, so is the fun factor. They aren't far fast bikes.

However, I was riding a loaded tour bike on singletrack with some obstacles, logs, rocks, steep inclines/declines etc... and some sand and fist sized rocky beach. Hard to do that on a road bike.
