I like the Hollister t-shirt. Hecka global bro!

Dare I say it, the most exiting thing I've seen in the TdF footage this year.

meh.

People doing stupid stunts over others who aren't aware isn't rad in my books.
5 minutes of internet fame if you're successful. No doubt lack of adequate insurance and an inability to pay for all the personal injury to professional athletes if you're not.

Wait until one hits a racer, knocks him out of the race, injures him and then the team lawyers and insurance company go looking for blood from the jumper.

I'm all for fun stunts but this stunt will go real wrong sooner or later.

Still better than being chased by a half nekkid Viking dude with a giant foam rubber hammer. At least I hope that's a hammer. Some of those grand tour fans are creepy.

Everyone has the god given right to do stupid stuff and risk their own skins. Needlessly risking others is a criminal act.

I liked this one better, and no one was put in any danger (except maybe their egos....):

I like the wheelie kid best. Dumb enough to be funny, and not likely to go too horribly wrong.

You didn't actually watch the video did you? Several of them are looking over at the velo quite a bit. They are getting smoked by a guy having fun, in a vehicle that weighs 3 times (or more) than their bikes. He won't be faster on a climb, but they all have special bikes for climbs too.

Blood is all they will get. Chances are this guy has no money.

I doubt the rider was trying to smoke anyone or hurt anyone's ego. He was probably just spectating and he had the best seat in the house.

Personally, I think the guys jumping the peloton are awesome. They should jump the 18th hole at the US Open golf championship.

I reckon this jump over the peloton was pretty safe (for those in the peloton). If the jumper crashes upon landing, that's just his problem. The only way he might have collided with the riders is by missing the take off ramp, which doesn't seem any more likely than random spectator interference. But as long he is hitting the ramp at appropriate speed, physics will take care of sending him over the road in a sufficiently high arc.

I get a kick out of it. Hasn’t gotten old for me yet.

Assuming he had hit that jump previously, the only real risk there was to himself.

I see plenty of spectators do things more dangerous/ risky to the riders than this.

This comment cracked me up:

Reminiscent of last year when he had no bike and took off running!
