Inaugural Beer Run!

Went for my first beer run on my new bike today. It was impromptu and I wasn't prepared. I had 3 straps on my rack but it turns out they were too short. As I was struggling to rig something up, a thing happened that was beautiful. A kind older gentleman in a pickup truck pulled up and asked me if I'd like 2 bungee straps. I thanked him and asked if I could return them somewhere. He said, no need, I have plenty, just keep them. Thanks again kind stranger! I'll pay it forward!

With all the Craft brewers, here , I have a Stainless steel 4 pint Growler to fill up from the brewers

and from the collection at Growler Guys

Any how nice of the fellow to offer the bungee..

Surly's 'Junk straps' are my favorite load carrying thing, now.. like 1.2M toe straps ..

That would be great! I'm 60 miles of bad highway from the closest brewery. I take that back, I just remembered a new brewery opened last year 25 miles of bad highway from me.

How the Biz Works..

Steel frame? Jamis may contract Maxway , the big TW company many familiar brands hire to supply their frames..

It's how the bike business has evolved ..

but I expect the brand appreciates your loyalty..

Yeah it's double-butted 4130, I don't know who actually manufactures the frames for Jamis. This one is a NOS 2012 model, I bought it new in the box from VeloMine.

Yep, nothing but great things to say about Velomine. Friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful from start to finish. Fast shipping, great communication, and just all around great customer service.

Thanks!

They don't have a big selection at these little country gas stations, but they do have the "hazy American classic".

Ahh, refreshing!

Are you crazy? That's for the cheap beer. Has to be an life saving event to offer a beer of that caliber.

No, but he already has his own 12 pack of PBR. He saw me when he pulled up, went in and bought his beer, and I was still trying to strap mine on when he came back out. That's when he offered the bungee straps.
