The ad was really not the point... Nor is whether one can "call it a fake" the point. You can say there's "nothing on the bike to misrepresent it as a Colnago."
The bike was built years ago. Someone cut the lugs, someone built the frame, and someone painted and put decals on it, (maybe the same someone, who knows). The RdV decals, are also not new, unusual, and not seen too often. If you are aware of the history of these bikes, for decades there have been claims of fakes being made. I have not seen one worthy of that designation, until now.You don't see the clubs cut into the lugs as contradicting your statement "nothing on the bike to misrepresent it as a Colnago."???
Unless you've done some cutting of steel lugs, etc. you may not be aware; it's not just a few minutes of easy filing. You are entitled to your opinion

That upright seatback has got to be mighty uncomfortable. Unless the whole seat can slide forward and backward, the whole thing looks like it'd cause a taller person like myself lots of pain. Even if you're just cruising at 3 mph to show off.

You'll need more than a frame pump if you ever have to pump up one of thse rear tires.

"Smoked chrome" yeah right 2x. A lovely dark metallic grey? You bet. Suntour GPX brake calipers, although nice (with the hidden spring a la Superbe Pro), are no match in performance and in groupset (obviously) for the rest of the 6500-era Ultegra going on. To say nothing of how much better silver calipers look than the painted GPX ones against the color of the bike.
Dude should have just sold the AD as a frame, fork and headset.
