Sounds scary, RTC, especially when they recommend a radical now a days. I hope that it turns out OK.

It still means nothing. Now it's just down to games of probability, continued watchfulness, and a mother that is stubborn as all hell.

In her words and mine:

It is what it is.

It is indeed. I'm more glad than ever that I decided turned down the job in the bay area. A bus and train home is much easier to do on a whim than a cross country flight.

-----

Thanks guys and gals.

Has anyone heard from lith in a while? The last I remember was his wife was having some medical issues. I just thought of the pic of him flying across the finish line during the cross race and thought of him. MDCV?

Just renewed my racing license. Might as well. It's a long season and I'm back training again, so I'll probably get some racing in.

So if you race locally your pretty much stuck in P/1/2?

Athens GA has a pretty good scene. I'll give you a free kit to ride for us.

I better not go drive it.
My wife's got an '08 R32 with the DSG. She loves it. It took me a while to get used to the DSG (I drive it in manual mode often) but once I did it's really cool.
VW's been pretty good about support for it, being agressive on the recalls and servicing.

I think that she'd go for the Tdi if she was looking now.... she keeps complaining about the R32s gas mileage even though she works at home 4 days out of 5 and it's only 1mpg less than I get in the MS3.

Hi RTC,

My biopsy came back with more DCIS in a different spot in the right breast. And the Dr is recommending a mastectomey.
I am not convinced of that. ( though I am NOT the Doctor!) as I think it is too drastic a measure.

I recently read about this research being done in U Penn.. I just wrote to the Dr there for being considered for this trial..
Can you check this out for me and tell me what you think...

https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/sh...+and+PA&rank=1

Call me when you get a chance.

Mom.

sorry to hear RTC, hope everything turns out ok.

You could move to NorCal. There's plenty of M45 races, sometimes split into 123 and 45 but not always. There's also a strong 55+ contingent. Future planning.

Her aunt died of breast cancer that metastasized to, well, everywhere...
That was about 2 years ago, so it's still fresh in all our minds. She just doesn't want them to take a really aggressive approach to it because now the course is radiation-->mastectomy if that doesn't work out perfectly.

The world is about to end in the Southeast. If we pull through I'll see you all tomorrow after work.

5-6 inches of snow expected. I can only assume everyone will be dead by this time tomorrow.
