How about $650 for a bare frame and fork with tons of paint nicks.

So you paid a "couple thousand " for the bike, have no idea how old it is, take pictures with a tape measure yet don't list size, and it weighs 8 lbs. I know I am new to road biking, but I am pretty sure 8lbs isnt possible. Thats great.

Never mind, I know 8 lbs is possible, just meant impossible for someone to spend that amount of money and time on a bike and not know its size/ not use it for 7 years

No idea what it's worth but the first line gave me a chuckle.

"55 cm aluminum Cervelo P3. This bike is FAST, not only because of good engineering, but also because it looks and feels fast which is a huge mental boost. Complete with Hed 3 clincher carbon wheelset with aluminum braking surface and Tufo C-Jet Special tires. Hed 3's have more top 10 Tour de France TT finishes in the last 10 years than any other wheel. Solid, reliable Ultegra shifters and derailleurs. Ultegra crank with adjustable position Rotor Q Rings to minimize fatigue and improve power, especially on climbs later in the ride. Profile Design carbon BDC aero fork. Super aerodynamic and stable integrated Tri-Max bar. Tri-specific Selle Italia saddle. Comes with two two-position seatposts - different length stems for taller or shorter rider (I'm 6' 0" and had to buy the longer post to have enough length inside the tube for safety). Profile Design aero drink bottle and mounting bracket in aerobars and removable dual bottle cage mounted to rear seat rails. Look Keo Classic pedals available if that's what you ride. Awesome bike, but back pain prevents me racing anymore, so I have to sell. $2900 firm."
on another note, anybody recognize this? Or have any knowledge as to why it would be worth 500 bucks? (I highly doubt it is ...)

Pfft. It says Pro right there on the top tube. It's got to be valuable.

vint Fuji road bike - $250 (cranston)
Date: 2010-06-24, 11:12PM EDT
Reply to: see below

this mike is super clean no rust all Japanese parts Italian leather seat orae grips super clean very fast too much to list call for any questions 603-733-6102 bike is located in the edgwood section if you would like some pics just text or call my number and i would be happy to send you some i would love to keep it but its a little to small also have italian eliet rims and brand new in the box seca 700x23 tires flat resistant price tag still on them at $35 each i will through in with the bike for and extra $100 for the rims and tires
Huh? Anyone catch the model name or size? I'd find that far more interesting than Italian leather seat, orae grips, and italian eliet rims.

It's overpriced. You can buy a carbon P3 for less than that used.
Though I think it's been proven that "feeling" that your bike is fast is actually a slight confidence booster, though a negligible performance boost.
Good for selling though, the manufacturers do it all the time.

1976 Raleigh Single Speed

This is a cool vintage bike that I rebuilt using only the best quality alloys parts. Very fast and lightweight. Great combination of a classic look with new parts (2007). I listed below some of the parts but to many to list. Bike was a total rebuild. I had fun making it and want to do another.

Frame 23.5
Chain ring 46t Rocket
Free wheel 16t
Tektro Brakes (Extension Levers)
Bullet Proof Crank Arms 170mm
Bull Horn handlebars
Flip Flop Hub
Race Blade Fenders

"HUTTY AMERICA ''MADE IN USA'' WOMEN BIKE - $40 (WATAUGA)"

https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/bik/1812540824.html

We always complain because they mis-spell the bike brand when it's right there on the frame. See the picture? Doesn't that look like "Hutty"?

Well, I guess they are both blue.

https://jxn.craigslist.org/bik/1812290890.html

i am offering a bianchi bike... unsure what model it is... but it is identical to the king bee road (ebay lists it for 600.00... https://cgi.ebay.com/Bianchi-KingBee-...item2a080d6866) i would just like and offer... or maybe even a trade for electronics... (GPS, Wii, things like that it does need rims and tires, but is in beautiful condition...

The bike he is selling.

The bike he is referencing.

I bet I know where he pulled that number from.

https://www.sheldonbrown.com/vrbn-g-n.html#maserati

Maserati
Ok, who isn't impressed with a bike bearing on of the great names of Italian automobile exotica? Most of the bicycles bearing this label were built by Fiorelli. There were many quality levels. Perhaps the best quality examples with N.R. parts might be worth around $1,200. Other lesser models have values based mostly on their parts value.

But... It's a Stumpjumper!

https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/bik/1814708197.html

"I am selling my Specialized Stumpjumper. It has not seen that much use, it is about 11 years old (1999). it has an Mantou SX fork, XTR front and XT rear. lots of good stuff.
The current version of for (2009) Specialized Stumpjumper Comp sells for $1,850.00 (thanks to a fellow bike enthusiast) "

Hmm. This one's been running for at least a month now at $1200 with no bites? Weird...

I've seen those on exercise bikes, they look slightly less bizarre on those machines. The old saddle is the only thing I like about this bike, but I wonder why he didn't choose a shiny new mattress saddle for it?
