Can we guess without a picture?
I'm going to say it's the tool that's used to hold the back of the nut on the pivot bolt that passes through the jockey pulley of Cyclone GT rear derailleurs.

Pedalin' Erry Day
I'm going to guess it's a proprietary splined socket for Suntour's clipless pedal system (patent licensed from Crank Brothers).

What do you think the diameter of those things are? Either way, I'm pretty sure I lost.

Well that is not the tool I am inquiring about, but it does answer another question. I have one of those tools and have long wondered what it was for. Thanks.

It is a Suntour cartridge bottom bracket tool... they have a unique spline pattern with squared notches and a unique lockring.

Without a scale to show size, i thought it looked similar to a Park OBW-3

I have one ove these odd tools that I picked up at garage sale for $20 with an assortment of tools. It works great on 80's suntour and some other BB's from that era. One end seems to work fine with better sugino BB's.

Looks like it might double well opening my bottle-O-beer,
So much of your surrounding environment can become a bottle opener.

The freewheel remover probably goes to early Suntour/Maeda freewheels or Cyclo freewheels. I cannot help you with the first tool.

That is the tool I have great need for! The small end is used to adjust the hubs of their sealed bearing models used on mountain and touring bikes. I have two sets of wheels that need work and no tool to do the job with. So far I have done a makeshift job, but the hubs are not adjusted correctly. Trying to find a local shop with that tool is next to impossible as they seem to have disposed of them. Nuts!

I have been using my Suntour chain whip for decades.
The plus to the Suntour specific tool is that it has an ID that lets you slide it past the cone locknut and remove the freewheel whereas these shallower tools will force you to disassemble the axle assembly.

Based on the appearance of the first tool I would say it is for servicing a freewheel or freehub and that it goes in the vice and holds said freehub/wheel? Pastor Bob may have insight having looked inside most freewheel types.

I am pretty sure that the first tool with all of the splines is used to unscrew a Shimano 3 speed internal unit from its hub shell.
