Praxis Direct Mount Road Spider to 1x Conversion

The Praxis Alba compact road double has a 110 BCD direct mount spider to hold 50 & 34 T chainrings. I am wondering if anyone knows whether a 1x conversion of that crankset would be as simple as removing the spider with the two chainrings and installing a single 1x direct mount chainring?

Yes. Praxis makes Direct Mount chainrings that will bolt onto that crankset. The interface looks like a standard direct mount, so other DM chainrings should work as well.

Yeah, I just went to Praxis and it looks like they have 38, 40 and 42 tooth chainrings that will go straight on to that crankset. Took me a while, but I finally got the info.

The new 2020 Giant Fastroad is up on the Giant Australia website with a really nice bundle of components for the price. The question was something of a thought experiment regarding a 1x11 conversion with a new chainring, a roadlink and a 11-40 cassette.
