I would likely be inclined to lean to the Colnago also . Yet without current pricing of each bike and some good pics Along with some actual details of the bikes, all three have variations that range in current value from $400-500 to $2000 or so. It is just really hard to give suggestion other than go with the bike you like best vintage bikes just aren't great investments. The difference in investment value will be way offset buy in enjoyment satisfaction getting the bike you like best if you only ride a few hundred miles.

...go with an index fund if you're looking for ROI. Bicycles usually end up underwater.

... even better. After five years, clearly we will have some numbers to crunch to see if the investment paid off in the shorter term. I'm more of a buy and hold guy, so this interests me.

We see in the OP's 4-1-17 Thread that he bought the Eddy Merckx, had it for less than two years, and then sold it. Yes, it would be interesting to see the purchase and selling prices. Why is everybody so reluctant to divulge this information?

This question a mind perplexing problem.

I personally would take the Paramount, the Paramount has a huge American history behind it. Also' if it needs to be restored back to it's old factory original like new glory, Waterford is the only company that is authorized to do that, no other bike has that going for it.

...nobody ever likes to talk about their losing investments ? It's always, "I bought Apple at 23, back in the early 80's."

Yes, I'm sure every time Eddy raced his Colnago he felt he was committing sacrilege
