Columbia Freestyle 9.5 Old School BMX
Hi All!
I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping I can get some idea of what my bike is worth. I can't find another bike like it other than one on an auction site. It is currently at $309 with 29 watchers and 3 more days left. This bike is in near museum quality. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

This is a tough one while a nice bike Columbie was and is largely considered a lesser brand when it comes to 80's BMX stuff. Assuming the $309 doesn't include the shipping packaging on the bike which will run around $100 it would be in the ballpark for one of these price wise and on a bike like this I would expect the price to increase 30-40 % before the auction ends. In the BMX world, Columbia earned you zero respect. I would guess same holds true in the freestyle era but who knows. Also, I would educate myself on freestyle desirability. Pre ‘84 BMX is/was commanding monster bucks. After that, BMX racing started to wane and bikes began to crossover into the freestyle/trick scene.
I haven’t tracked closely since selling my vintage BMX bike 4 years ago. You might check in with the folks on the BMX forum to get a feel for Columbia and freestyle appeal.

This is a sweet BMX, however I do not believe it to be expensive. eBay sales of BMX bikes are inflated, and I’d assume most of the betters want the bike for nostalgia reasons.
