crankset and freewheel rotate when coasting....
I've a 90s Panasonic 10 Speed DeLuxe (misnomer.....) that I've completely rebuilt. Some, but not all of the time when I'm walking my bike or if I'm coasting and remove my feet from the pedals, the cranks and free wheel "catch" and rotate. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobee...... Many thanks in advance.

There's interference between the rear hub and freewheel. Does the bike have a spoke protector? Check that, make sure it's not hitting the cogs or chain in first gear. Then take off the freewheel, try lubing it (maybe soak it in light oil for a day) or replace it.

I removed the free wheel, applied PB Blaster, worked the race and bearings, air compressor, then a 3 M oil. I works like a charm on the truing stand. Will take it out on the road this evening. Many thanks. and uhmmmm yep, you guys are pretty much my last hope.
