how to make a torque arm
hi ya
for front wheel - what i have found is the shape of a golf stick and use 3/16 thick steel....
I don't have a problem with making it :-) although filing out the hole will be painfully slow :-)
is there a certain strength of steel i should be using??

I would think mild steel would work. You don't want anything too hard that you can't file.

it seems that above mild steel is the one to go for, i asked also the steel guy and he said that mild steel should work fine because the ones above it are high tensile and something else i can't remember.....
and when i queried bed frame steel - he almost laughed and said "your comparing crap steel to mild steel?"
you learn something every day..
