I can not always access Craigslist, so it really helps to see a picture and part of the description
I live in Cambodia and many times my isp comes thru Vietnam and Craigslist blocks me.

In regards to the chrome If it fits I think it is. Having the original (I think) portage strap would indicate to me little use

Didn't notice that. I thought the starting price was kind of high. Seems like an opportunity for facilitation by a kindly SoCal forumite.

Yes, that is a good deal. People love the all chrome, plus moose bars are always a hit.

I guess they really don’t want to ship it, seen that before. You’d think they could at least list the serial number, not very hard to find on an old Trek. If the tubing stickers are to be believed, and the year, it looks like a 900 series.

They're using the ebay shipping calculator which gives really high prices based on location. For me, in northern California, the shipping cost shows as $296. You can often clue sellers like this into Bikeflights and get the shipping reduced.

Immaculate Centurion Elite that also directly supports a great Seattle bike co-op.

1980 Centurion Elite - $350 (Judkins Park)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...231084202.html

To purchase or view make an appointment! https://thebikery-423561.square.site/appointments

Due to a generous donation by one of our volunteers we have something special for you. It's a 40 year old Centurion Elite in almost perfect condition. It sat in a box for four decades, unused and unridden, only to be purchased this year as new old stock whereupon our volunteer discovered it was too big for him. So now it can be yours!

This bike features downtube shifters, a 2x5 drivetrain, 27" wheels, and original cloth bar tape. It's a gorgeous bike! Fast too. You even get the original owner's manual. The frame size is 64 cm so you'll have to be fairly tall to fit it, maybe around 6'4".

Want to test ride it? Go to thebikery.org, click through to the Online Store, and make an appointment! Please note the bike you are interested in test riding in the appointment notes.

The Bikery is a volunteer-run bike shop that empowers Seattle cyclists through hands-on education, workshops, social events, and fun!

Sorry to quote my own post but I wanted to add pics of the gorgeous lugwork on this thing. This was high end Japanese stuff (Cheribum), certainly the match for a Zunow/3Rensho or the like. $360 would be tempting for me if I actually needed another road bike.

From the receipt, SN is K5C9J65. So a 25.5" 910 from March 1979. Nice bike My 930 is a few months younger and I love it.
