1983 Raleigh Prestige Pics and vid. Overhauled
Hey guys,
Something new for the garage. A friend donated his 1983 Raleigh Prestige. I completely overhauled it. The bike is very low ware. Probably a few hundred miles on it. This was made in Japan and marketed by our good friends at Huffy.

I love the bike! Good decision regarding yellow tape, it looks great. I’ve got a 1985 Prestige, I like it quite a lot as it’s beautiful too, but I think your 83 version is the nicest looking of the 83-86 Raleigh USA Prestiges.

John your videos get better and better. I love the build and sincerely appreciate your time and effort to put out this kind of content. My current assignment has me in a very non-cyclable city so seeing this kind of thing really keeps me going. Please keep it up!

The original SunTour Superbe group is by far my favorite group. Beautiful design and functionality.

Yeah - I have to admit that the choice of YELLOW was a good fit for this bike of yours.
Love the Superbe Crank!
I sold this one to myself in 1983 while working at a LBS in St. Cloud MN.
Still have all the paperwork bill of sale, brochure, original aero MKS pedals, and aero water bottle.
If I remember the 10% over cost for my purchase was about $450.00
