I'd like to buy Dahon bike on line so that my friend who is coming to Thailand to visit me can bring same on the trip. Having read that the 2005 Dahon bikes are much stiffer, I'd like to purchase the improved bike, but all dealers that I've contacted only have last year models. Please can any one help?

2005 models are slowly coming in as far as i know ...

usually Dahon brings the cheaper models first and than the more expensive ones which might take another month ...

You can always call dahon and ask them whats here ...

Dahon USA told me that they are in a process of setting up a distributor in Bangkok. While waiting for them I bought 2 Giant Halfways. I am very glad I did. See https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...=giant+halfway

Check out the 2004 Dahon Matrix from Ahoy Captain. https://www.ahoycaptain.com/

Do not try to purchase this folder or any Dahon products from https://store.yahoo.com/momovelo/

The Boardwalk D7 2005 and the Sweat Pea were the only ones available when I called about 2 weeks ago.

I learned today that Dahon is anticipating some 2005 bikes in mid-April. If you buy online be sure to ask if your dealer does a checkout on the bike before shipping. Many internet dealers simply drop-ship from the distributor. If you are mechanically inclined that will work, but you will still need a bike mechanic to certify to activate the warranty.

I've actually been trying to get a pair of Espressos from Dahon since early November, and each time I've gotten in touch with Dahon's rep in California, he's told me later and later. (I'm an employee at Performance) Now the latest I've heard is mid-April. Seems like an awkward time to release the 2005 bikes, don't you think?

Yes I agree, it all seems very awkward to me.
