Schwinn Paramount Series PDG Help!

Hi all! I'm going to see this bike in an hour and having a heck of a time finding out any info on the year, and I don't know what a fair offer would be. Any help is appreciated! He says it is 105 and 7 speed.

Thread moved from C&V to C&V Appraisals.

Based on the color red with black downtube decals, it appears to be a 1992 Series 2 with changed out components.

Thanks! Probably overpaid at $250, but got it anyway. Tires are good, hoods and tape have to go, and the levers are missing the plastic trim piece (as always).

I've read that the Series 7 and maybe the 5 were built in Japan as opposed to Taiwan for the others. I bought a 7 for my nephew a few years ago and was impressed. Really nice frame details. All of them are let down by the unfortunate unicrown fork.

I think it's just appearance. They're nice lugged bikes, but the fork is "meh", the cheaper construction is reminiscent of a department store BMX

Yes, they are just ugly and cheap looking.
