Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sizing help

previous bikes:

stack 558 reach 378 top tube 538 mm

stack 569 reach 376 top tube 545

new bike:

stack 546 reach 385 top tube 543

retul fit handlebar stack 639 handlebar reach 459

should the new frame size work and could anyone tell if the stem should be 100 mm to match up?

I'm thinking the stack might be a bit 2 low, will have to have a lot of spacers?

thank u

Are the Retul numbers for the bare frame or do they somehow refer to a built-up bike? There is no way that any of those frames are appropriate for you if the Retul number are for the bare frame. Assuming we are talking about bare frame, there is a 3-inch discrepancy between the stack you have and what you need. Extra spacers and hi-angle stem just can't make up for that. And the reach is 3-inches too long. This is bizarre. You would need an ultra-short 25 mm stem to make up for that. It's like you are buying a road racing bike but trying to ride it like a Dutch city commuter. Not good.

I'm guessing the retul stack is BB to seat top? And reach would be BB to handlebar. Maybe a 90mm stem. Retul fit coordinates usually have a printout stating frame Stack and Reach. The seat height, stem length etc. that can be used to set up any bike that is close to your fit S/R. I could be wrong but that is what I have from my Retul fit.
I would consider your new frame long and low. Racey
