Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

All the talk about Carnegie Hall motivated me to look up my namesake shoe store--David Z--a few blocks down on 7th Ave. I was saddened to see that the place is permanently closed as is their former place on Broadway.

Me in front of the 7th Ave. location.

We've got so much water in the Valley right now that we're thinking about giving some to DougRNS and his buddies.

Nah.

I wasn’t running the baby at first but I have since put the cutest most exuberant recall on her, so I’ve run her in 4 Trials so far and she’s taken 3rd, 4th and 5th. So cute, she’s only 10 months old.

Puppy Love has some Hunt tests coming up- similar to the field trials, she needs on more pass to earn a title, Hunting Hound.

So I’ve been a little distracted from the bikes this winter. Riding and trying to get into race shape for March, which is pretty soon! Better get cracking.

We hired a third neurologist to start in Aug. I’m exploring the possibility of going to a 30 hour work week then. We’ll see.

Going to Maui in May. Gonna try to climb Haleakala.

who here’s been up to what?
Way cool

What's the reasoning behind this?

My home desktop is on Windows 7 and I really really don't want to have to replace it.

Anything that prolongs its life is of great interest to me.

Sure would be. They do occasional crosswalk stings up here. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
