Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I got a box of bicycle geegaws in the mail today.

First install was a six-bolt 20T fixie cog! Can't wait to ride dirt canal paths with this baby. Now someone needs to make some hyperglide splined 160mm rotors

The suppler the better, but I don't really want to drop Rene Herse EL cash on these.
That seems to be a large tire for a fairly skinny rim. How do the 28's look on it? Will it be able to handle 2 more mm on each side?

Do those tyres match that paint on that Raleigh?

No, I pour kernels into a copper-bottomed pot with olive oil and a pinch of seasoned salt, then shake it on the stovetop.

I would think so. Kind of hard to get a good picture, but here you go. Measuring 28.5mm on my digital calipers.

They're going to need to let that check sit on the loading dock for a week.

Anxiety or seasonal with lengthening day? The roads are so empty, I’m going to wait for some warmth.

It’s only 49 here, and it’s cloudy. No sun until late afternoon. I think I’ll take a ride up to Zombie Land later. Could be interesting.

we keep one or two jiffy pops in the home. Kids love it when we make’em on the fireplace . Sadly, the stove is electric

What’s Zombie Land? I am tempted to go somewhere one wouldn’t go in normal times too.
