Sensah shifter first impressions

Just got them in the mail from China. Took a month to get here.

I haven’t mounted them yet and it will be a while before I do.

they do give a hefty click. I’m sure that the click is deliberately engineered to sound that way. It does sound more substantial than a sora or tiagra click.

i do like the design with one caveat which is the amount of lever pull needed.

For the right lever it isn’t bad, and I spend my of my time in the drops so that works out.

the left lever you need an extraordinary amount of pull to go up a level. Granted I haven’t installed them yet so behavior might change with cable tension. But that amount of pull means that from the hoods you have to actually pivot your hand around the hood to do the full pull. You cannot be holding onto the hood and pull it up, it will be just short.

the brake cable mechanism is different from Shimano. It is much more simple with a fraction of the parts needed to hold the cable in.
