Squeal on fast descent from 2016 Mavic Ksyrium wheels
2016 Mavic Ksyrium wheels with 5600 miles made a high pitched squeal on mtn descent this past weekend. First time I’ve ridden in the mtns with these wheels and I haven’t had any service done since purchasing.. After 15 minutes of fast descending, get a high pitched squeal from what I believe is the front hub. Theory is heat and lube dried out. Stopped for a while, rode the brakes a little more and sound didn’t return. Can’t find much online about disassembling Mavic Ksyrium hubs or from Mavic website. Does anyone have a good video or any instructions?

If the brakes are disc type I would suspect the pads just kissing the rotor. If a hub was squealing I expect it would be pretty much gone unless it was a rubber seal..

Update: went to Amazon, found front ceramic bearings for $14 from VXB Bearing. Fairly straightforward replacement and seems to be working fine. Thanks for the help.
