Recent bibs convert, namely Black Bibs. I'll never go back!

As long as it is a quality garment that fits, either would work for shorter rides. For longer rides, bibs just flow better with my body. Less abrasions of the fabric and bibs will last longer in the seat area.

Bibs are the best for my comfort and fit. If you wait for quality bibs to go on sale, they can be bought for equal to or just over the price of a decent pair of shorts. Two of the four I own have gel padding, which has been so nice for my old butt.

Bibs. I do use suspenders on a pair of tights. They are light weight & if I could find a similar pair with straps I would buy them.
