Huffy Nel Luso - Wanting a trailer.
Hello all, I love my Huffy Nel Luso to death and would die for it, I am getting some mirrors and a turn signal for it, but I want a trailer to haul more items and a possible camper with that as well, but have no clue where to go/look. My budget is 60-100 dollars.

CL would be a place to look for trailers. I doubt you could pull a camper trailer but maybe it is possible. You could also build your own trailer. A picture of 2 that I did. Roger

The In-Step and similar toddler toting trailers can make good starting points for a DIY trailer. I have one that I cut down because I though it was too wide. I have a welder so I can put it back together after I hacksawed it apart. This is just an idea. You may want to also check out the utility section of BikeForums.

A two kiddy trailer works great for hauling things after you remove the seat and restraint systems.
I found mine at a yard sale.
In Step is a good brand.
A SUGGESTION; A STRONG suggestion:
Replace the pneumatic tubes for airless flat free tubes ~ on the curb side at a minimim.
On your Nel Luso run tire liners and 8 to 16 ounces of Slime or other tire sealant, per tire.
Bicycle tires are thorn/sandburr magnets.
When (not "if") your trailer gets a flat, it acts screwy, (especially if/when severely overloaded) and is a little harder to pull.
I replace the regular tubes for airless in all of my trailers, and run tire liners and slime in all my bike and adult trike tires.
Good luck.

Ah dunno, those InStep trailers are effing expensive, I see them from about $125-200 any time one pops up. The people selling them are nuts. Custom jobs are going to be expensive, probably exceeding retail ones(which an InStep at a LBS was priced at 300). Save your money, scrounge up parts and have it put together piece by piece.

about buying a cargo trailer
before you look at this or that brand, figure out how you are going to hitch the trailer to the bike: to the seat post, or the rear axle/chain stays. From there decide on a single wheel or 2 wheel trailer.
I use my cargo trailer all of the time and find a lot of utility in it. I have the small 2 wheeled Schwinn that attaches to the rear axle, but wish I had bought one that attaches to the seat post because I can't remove the hitch if I want to trailer with another bike.

The problem with the seat post mount is it makes it harder to get off the bike as you try to get off the bike. Just get another bike part of the hitch and put it on the other bike. My hitches are made from air hose couplers. I use Milton brand couplers. Roger

Get a used kids trailer. There are plenty of them out there and I have seen a lot in the $20 to $50 range. I got me a $20 trailer a few years ago and removed all the seats and restraints. I recently gave it away since I built me a cargo bike and no longer needed it.
