Praxis chainring >< Shimano chainring?
I have a Fuji bike with a Oval crankset and Praxis 5 arm Levatime chainrings. Does anyone know if shimano rings will fit the crank, as replacement Praxis rings are expensive and only comes in a set, - no separate 34t is available ( WTF?! )
I was thinking of replacing either the 34t or both rings with shimano 105 5 arm, if possible.

First, yes any 110BCD rings will work on the Praxis oval. Second hit up ebay you can get good deals on rings.
But yeah, 110 BCD 5 bolt rings are all good to go unless you get some crazy weird set up with uber small rings or something.

It's our shop's opinion that Shimano chain rings are the best shifting designs out there. We replace a number of other brands' rings each year to help solve front shifting issues and have a very good feedback from our customers. Personally I use many brands and have no shifting problems, but I learned to shift way back in time when rings were all symmetrically cut and you HAD TO ease off the pedaling pressure to have a chance of a shift.
More to the point of the OP- being an inner ring the tooth profile or ring brand will have little effect (on shifting or anything else) as long as the "speed count" is compatible. When looking to swap out the large ring is when I would suggest Shimano is the best choice. Andy

Thanks, sounds encouraging.
Was just asking to make sure 5 arm 110 mm bcd stuff is truly interchangeable between brands.
Was thinking of reusing the chain ring bolts, but can I? Are they all the same length and diameter or do I need Shimano bolts if I put Shimano on there?

In general, the same bolts are going to work just fine.
