Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep. Serious Cycling is very well regarded in the So Cal cycling community. Seriously.

I’ve even ridden with them on FulGaz. Seriously, a couple of their group rides have been recorded and uploaded to FulGaz.

One that I’ve ridden a couple times is called Hidden Valley.

I've rolled breaks with a few Serious Cycling guys over the years, and can confirm that they are seriously fast!

Not for me, then. I think I could roll with a team from Frivolous Cycling, though.

Hidden Valley is a nice area to ride through. Steep little climbs on one end. One of the big local racer training rides goes through there.

Do you know Scott or Joel? Scott started by buying out a Bicycle John store in Agoura and later opened the Northridge store. Joel joined at some point.

I don't. At least I don't think I do. There have been plenty of people on bikes I've talked to whose names I don't know. However, I don't ride in that part of So Cal very often.

This pic is giving me flashbacks of suffering on the Simi Ride, 20+ years ago.

Scott raced as a cat 3 years ago. You might have been at the same events at some point. Did you ever do the Barry Wolf Grand Prix?
