OfferUp new purchase Maruishi
Thought I was somewhat familiar with Japanese brands from late 20 century but was not aware of Maruishi.
Went to buy it for the complete 600 group. Including headset Hubs etc. Pleasantly surprised by build quality. Some pics

Maruishi is an old name in the bicycle industry in Japan. The company started as in importer of bicycles from Premier Cycle Co. of England. Premier used a Kangaroo logo image.
Maruishi began to manufacture frames in the World War I era. The company sold bicycle in the domestic Japanese market.
Maruishi declared bankruptcy in 2004. The company survived longer than several other well known Japanese brand names.
During the 1970s and 1980s Maruishi brand bicycles were sold in Canada and the USA. I currently have a Maruishi Roadace 505.

Don’t love the paint scheme but the paint itself is 8 of 10. Has a dry rotted front tire but came with a new one to match the rear. Lot of bike for $80 so I grabbed it. A little derailleur adjustment and tire change and see how it rides.
