Numb pinky finger ?
Greetings to all.
Noob here.....
I am experiencing numbness in my left pinky finger only.
Anybody else experience this ?
It is with me all day, not just on the bike.
Bars are padded, waiting on my new padded gloves to see if it helps.
Longest ride so far is 16 miles.

Your pinky finger being numb is a sign of possible ulnar nerve entrapment. It can be at the base of the palm from holding handlebars ("handlebar palsy") or it can be elsewhere, like near the elbow (cubital tunnel syndrome).
Does it only happen when you ride? If so, changing handlebar type or position might help. Adjusting your saddle-to-bar position may help to get weight off your hands as well.
In the meantime, I'd strongly suggest contacting your doctor.

For me it was my neck, and the tingling in my fingers eventually evolved into nearly debilitating pain in my entire arm. I got it under control through a few months of physical therapy, and switching to standing desks at home and at work. The PT blamed it on my posture while sitting at the computer. Once I felt like I could start riding again, I carefully refined my bike setup to minimize stress on my neck.

hmmmmmmmmmmm..................
This numbness started with my new bike, 2 weeks ago.
My old Hybrid did not have this affect on me.
Perhaps I am bending too far forward, too much weight on my hands. My Hybrid seating position was more upright.
I do have tendon issues with my right hand, from too much mouse/computer work over the years. It does not bug me which is weird.
I will heed the advise and consult my physician.
Thank you to all !!!

You need to make sure your elbows stay bent and loose, and remember that road bikes are designed for exuberant riding, so it's easy to end up with too much weight on your hands if you're not putting much energy into going forward.

I have a bad back and get numb fingers and toes all the time. You might want to buy a TENS unit on Amazon (about 30 bucks) and use that. Turn the power up to one click past comfortable and it'll relax your muscles and help.

I have a similar problem with my left pinky, but it occurs at night when I am sleeping, when I wake up in the middle of the night, my left pinky hurts, so I got to stretch it out a few times. This first happened and happens on a nightly basis after I angled my ergon grips, from horizontal to slightly angled up ( due to a sore left wrist riding with the grip in the horizontal position) . Gone is the wrist soreness after I angled the grips, but now I have a left pinky problem. I would also like to add that I recently fractured my left radial head ( elbow ) and have had no problems with my right arm / hand.
I think I will try and make the grip horizontal again, and see if the pinky problem persists.
