I just recently read the book by Robert Penn, “It’s All About The Bike” that tells the same story slightly differently. The book does more weaving of the history of the bike with his tour of modern manufacturers. I appreciated the great visualization of Penn’s stories in the video. The two are excellent complements. Thanks for sharing that link!

Is there any extended footage available of the 0:07-0:09 section of this video? Was women's high wheel racing like a common thing back then?
