Pinarello Stelvio ‘92
Does anyone have any information on a Pinarello Stelvio from 92? Where did these fall in the hierarchy? Were they only made for a brief time, i can’t find much info on them?

High end lugged frame with dedacciai 18mcdv6 steel comfy and light, much better than the later models which were tig welded. Made from 1992 until 1994/1995

I had a 1997 Stelvio. It was made with Pinarello Dolmen steel which was sourced from Dedacciai.

What I’m looking at
Just different fork than other Stelvio i have seen still dolmen so maybe doesn’t matter but it has the letters symbol not pinarello written out. Tried to post photos but says I need to post things before I’m allowed to. So was this one of their mid to higher end frames? I’m not familiar with pinarello models and their hierarchy or their proprietary tubing. So is it worth a spot in the fleet?

Great information thanks
So the next question is I have someone selling one, record headset, delta c-record brakes, synchro shifters, record hubs, chorus derailleurs, new random bars and brake levels, frame is immaculate, mint, with the gear and the frame condition is 1100$ reasonable?

$1100 is a lot to drop on any complete bicycle without checking it out first.
If you can post some pics, it might help. Worn out C-record can vary a lot in pricing.
I had a too-small-for-me Pinarello that rode really really well. Would grab another up in a heartbeat if I found one.

I found a Pinarello Stelvio listed on CL in 2022 for $300 with Ultegra 105 components. The original owner said he paid $2300 for it new in 1999. All it needed was a good cleaning, lube, freeing up the shifters, new stem, tape & tires.
This bike is the only one I’ve ridden since it joined the fleet. This is the before pic.

Looks like the fork sticker reads Dolmen, not Kens.

Dolmen and Kens are both Deda products, but Dolmen being a downgrade. Anyone know what the actual difference between the tubing was? Alloy, butting, seamed, etc?
