Emonda SLR sizing help
I bought a demo bike off eBay and they said it was a 56. Set the seat mast all the way on high to minimum insertion but I need a couple more MM prob not a issue if it had 175 cranks instead of 172.5. Here is where it gets interesting. When I looked up sizing guides it says 56 has a 17 CM head tube (which is what mine measures out at) its for the '18 model though where mine is a '15 so its gotta be close. Before all this I looked for the size on the frame and found it on a tag under the bottom bracket which reads 52CM! that can't be right? no 52 would have that big of head tube. Otherwise reach is perfect for my long legged short torso 6' body. But would trek screw it up with a wrong tag? Just looking for any input on this matter. I mean I think its a 56. Also do they make longer seat masts? Thanks.

Not sure what size seatmast you have on your bike, but yes there are two different lengths to choose from. Also, if you take off your back wheel the size of the frame is imprinted on one of the drop outs. Hope that helps, good luck!

The Emonda has a long head tube. And if it's imprinted on the bike, I'm sure that's accurate. It probably is a 52, what leads you to believe other than what is actually printed on the bike?

I have a '15 SLR in a 54cm H2, so I guess if you still want more convincing of the size I can measure my head tube when I get home, to see if the "real world" measurement of mine matches the spec. Then, if yours is longer, you indeed have a 56, if shorter, then 52.
edit: Seems like you got a helluva deal. Man, is that all they go for now? Sheesh, I paid a helluva lot more than that for my frame!
