Mystery Ritchey

The bike has Deore XT rear and Ultegra front on 3x9 ... But I can't figure out the top tube decal. And is that a fork replacement or did Ritchey use Time forks at some point?

Looks like an early model Road Logic frame. The decal on toptube looks like a SHIMANO decal. I think the fork was aftermarket..mine came with a steel Ritchey fork, and later models use a Ritchey carbon fork. Nice colour! These are really nice riding bikes.

Yeah. It's a Frankenstein. Shimano Head set, Time fork, Ultegra Brifters, Deore XT, The Ritchey parts are just not there. Do you think it is worth $200?

If everything works on it, I would think it is worth that.

that bike is interesting. Kinda looks like its fillet brazed...if thats the case, Tom made it, its rare and a Ritchey classic. The only thing stumping me is the pump peg and the top of the seat post..doesnt match the typical fillet brazed frame with a pointy top and faux lug. A serial number might help. Too bad it doesn't have the original fork. Even if its a tig welded import, its worth more than $200.

Yes, even the TIG version is worth more than $200.

No damage to the downtube? I always have to check when I see a replacement fork.

The words Frankenstein and Frankenbike get thrown around a lot --- I don't get that for a bike that was sold as a frameset originally most likely. Carbon forks were a popular upgrade in the early 90's -- The XT rear derailleur was specced to match up with that huge cassette on the back no doubt

Doesn't look like a Frankenbuild -- but rather one the previous owner built to tackle the hills a bit better
