Whew ! I saw my elbow hit the pavement !
But it didn't actually happen. I just came back from my ride and am still a bit shaken. I was about to turn left at an intersection with the light green but no arrow, so had to yield to oncoming traffic. I was gonna go for it but last minute decided the cars were coming too fast, so I hit the breaks but didn't have much time to unclip. I started flipping sideways, saw my death before my eyes ( not really but you get the point), and out of nowhere, in some split second move that I cannot explain how it happened, I ripped the cleat out of the pedal and planted my foot down. It was not a normal unclip, it felt forced. I was not standing straight, I had definitely tilted quite a bit. I checked the cleat when I got home and it seems to be fine, so I'm gonna keep using it. Close call.

I lost my rear wheel on a white line in the rain, but recovered quickly last week. It's all about not panicking when you are about to go over. Also remember to steer into another rider if you get tangled up - you'll stay upright that way. This is always a ton of fun when in a crit and the guy on the inside of the turn starts to lose it.
