Tires for Cannondale M300

My wife recently gifted me her old Cannondale M300 and its tires are worn and flat. I’d like to buy tires so I could ride it but I don’t know the first thing about where to look or what to get?
I know is the 26x2 size and that I will use it for trail riding sometimes but mostly streets riding.
Thanks!

there are loads of tires out there but you will want something with faster rolling tire profile something like these
https://smile.amazon.com/Kenda-Small...8-3&th=1&psc=1

you probably can fit a 2.1 tire on it. if you try putting a 2.2 on it you might start getting rubbing on the front derailleur cage when in the lowest sprocket. look for something in the XC category of tires not slicks though.

Honestly any low price tire will do, unless you plan to ride regularly on trails, look for <$20 tire

Thanks for reply! How about 26x2.125" size, can it fit without this problems? I mean something like this- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KP2S7F5
