Dawes Galaxy chainring..
Hi all, my chainring is quite worn....it’s a Stronglight 36/48 tooth..on a 1985/6 Dawes Galaxy’s......I believe it was changed from the original crankset before my ownership..
can someone advise me on either a suitable modern crankset or the correct crankset....assuming they are still available!!

What is the bolt-circle diameter (BCD) on the crank? Or the model number? Some Stronglight cranks used proprietary (122mm) BCD, some used now-deprecated 86mm BCD, others used more standard BCD.
If you don't know the BCD or the model number, a picture of the crank would help to identify it.

The 36T ring rules out a 122mm or bigger BCD. So, it's either 86mm or 50.4. For both chainrings can still be found.

Thank you, that’s going to be helpful...I’ve seen 5he correct ring set.....although I’m quite new to this...I don’t understand how to fit it because mine appears to fixed to the crank arm....
