Very different effect, almost the opposite, since both inflammation, which diclofenac suppresses, and heat both increase blood flow.
I'm with @datlas as always. Your doc might know something I don't—I'm wrong all the time, but treatment of a healing traumatic injury is an idiosyncratic use of that drug for sure. The available evidence suggests that the inflammatory component of the soft tissue and bone healing processes is probably beneficial and NSAIDs are generally considered a risk for healing.

I punctured but didn’t know it. It was a hot day. Realized what happened a few days later. Haven’t checked recently because I don’t want to know, but there was some slight staining of my Cerakote finish. Maybe it’s unique to my finish.

Thanks. I guess I wasn't perfectly clear. The component we're looking at is the cut finger, that waited too long to have the tendon repaired. The recontructive surgeon told me I could make it flexible, and then keep it flexible by manipulating it with the other hand. Would either, or both forms of diclofenoc be indicated in that process? Would warm water be indicated? Warm Vaseline? Or simply continue what I've been doing--very, very, VERY slowly increasing the flexibility by manually moving it. I went in looking for an appointment with, or reference to a therapist, but that wasn't possible at this time.

The surgeon who re-attached the finger was apparently unaware of the length of the window for getting it done later. The reconstructive surgeon was beside himself in disbelief, of that fact and some others. Six weeks at the very outside, and by the time I saw him it had been two months. He cited my age, the Covid, the exact location of the cut, and a few other things.I didn't fight him. Life is for learning.

I just bought my first tubulars last evening. I won't have them in hand until September at the earliest. Nor will I have the hubs to build the wheels.That will give me the time I need, to contemplate putting sealer in them, or not. What would you advise? I'm leaning toward not putting sealer in. Or maybe just the rear. I'm also leaning heavily in favor of glue, over tape. For the same reason I'm leaning away from sealer.

If you have normal kidney function and don’t have a sensitive stomach, low risk of side effects. Honestly you will probably get the same results with or without the medicine.

Saw that a few weeks ago. Made me wonder if I saw one a few years ago while camping in NJ. I was reading by my campfire at night when a rather large, winged bug came crashing down into the sand. Scared the hell out of me. I stomped it. It definitely had an orange head. Never saw anything like it before.
